Youngest chess grandmaster in history comes to Dortmund

Abhimanyu "Abhi" Mishra is often referred to as a chess prodigy. He reached milestones in record time early on: youngest International Master (at the age of 10) and subsequently youngest Grandmaster of all time (at the age of 12 years, 4 months and 25 days).

Christian Glöckler - chasing the FIDE titles at 12

Christian Glöckler (picture from the German Chess Federation) is 12 years old, has an Elo rating of 2356, is a Fide Master and has now achieved his second IM norm in Bremen. The third norm should be collected at the International Dortmund Chess Days 2024 at the latest.

Dmitrij Kollars back in Dortmund again

He made his Dortmund debut at the Sparkassen Chess Trophy 2021: in the highly competitive round-robin tournament, he narrowly missed out on winning the tournament and finished a strong second behind Pavel Eljanov. He then moved up in 2022 and won the NC World Masters ahead of World Champion VIswanathan Anand.
