Tournament information for 2026
The 53th International Dortmund Chess Days will take place from 1st to 9th of August 2026 with an A-Open, B-Open (until 8th of August) and Int. Women´s Tournament.
Registration for the Open
In recent years, the A- and B-Open have been fully booked (max. 200 players per Open) weeks before the tournament started.
Therefore, early registration is recommended to secure your place.
The Venue Kulturzentrum Alte Schmiede
Once part of the Hansa Dortmund-Huckarde colliery, the "Schmiede" is now a place for cultural gatherings. The IntercityHotel Dortmund is the hotel partner of the chess festival.
