We are pleased about the great interest in the Sparkassen Chess Trophy 2024 and would like to inform you that the A-Open is currently fully booked with 200 participants. The list of participants is published and a waiting list has already been opened internally.
There are only a few spots left in the A-Open at this year's Dortmund Chess Days until the maximum capacity (200 participants) is reached.
Two more strong and well-known grandmasters in Germany have registered for the Sparkassen A-Open with € 4,000 as the first main prize. GM Yevgeny Romanov and GM Krishnan Sasikiran will take part in Dortmund in August.
The strong International Open German Women's Individual Championship (IODFEM) took place in Augsburg this year. Thanks to the new cooperation with the organisers of the event, the Jussupow Chess School, and the increased focus of the Sparkassen Chess Trophy on promoting women's and youth chess, there was a special incentive for the winner. She will be invited to the 51st International Dortmund Chess Days.
