After the successful start during the 48th International Dortmund Chess Days 2021, an Online Open in No Castling Chess will be offered for the second time during the Sparkassen Chess Trophy in 2022! The first preliminary round will start on the first day of the tournament, 16 July. The final will take place on 24 July.

Three German national players in the top-class Deutschland Grand Prix of the Sparkassen Chess Trophy 2022

After the successful start last year, the NC World Masters will start on 18 July 2022 in Dortmund. The pairings have now been drawn at the press conference: The 14th World Chess Champion Vladimir Kramnik will meet the 15th World Chess Champion and last year's winner Viswanathan Anand in the first round.

One of the shooting stars of the European chess scene will be on the board at the 49th International Dortmund Chess Days in the Deutschland Grand Prix at the Congress Centre of the Westfalenhallen: GM Bogdan-Daniel Deac, current rating 2671, from Romania. 

The German national player Rasmus Svane is in great shape this year and will play as the current German number 3 in the Deutschland Grand Prix of the 49th Dortmund International Chess Days. This makes him the third German player in this event of the Sparkassen Chess Trophy.
