Another prominent world-class player and old acquaintance of the International Dortmund Chess Days has confirmed his participation for the 50th anniversary: GM Michael Adams will once again take part in the International Dortmund Chess Days. This year in the strong A-Open with the first prize of € 5,000.
In 2013 Adams won the Grandmaster Tournament of the Chess Days ahead of Vladimir Kramnik and Peter Leko, taking an outstanding 7 points from 9 games with an Elo performance of 2923. To this day, of course, he is a national player for England and a fixture in various club teams in Europe. Last year, the likeable top player took part in the NC World Masters on stage in the Goldsaal of the Westfalenhallen. The organisers are looking forward to another longtime companion this summer at the 50th International Dortmund Chess Days.
