45 participants and some guests gathered at the Ardeyschoppen on Tuesday evening for the rapid chess tournament. The two players from the main match of the Sparkassen Chess Trophy 2024, Elisabeth Pähtz and Dinara Wagner, were present at the start and opening of the evening.
Under the direction of Pit Schulenburg and in a cosy atmosphere, it was a very successful tournament, especially for participants in the B-Open. The winner was Florian Stricker with 6.5 points from 7 games, ahead of Matthias Hahn and Leo Brendel. These three can take part in the International Dortmund Chess Days 2025 free of entry fees.
