After the A Open of the 52nd International Dortmund Chess Days had already reached capacity, the B Open is now also fully booked. In both tournaments, 200 participants will take to the boards.

The open tournament is led in the seedings by reigning European Champion GM Matthias Blübaum (photo). A total of 98 title holders are registered in the A Open, including 18 Grandmasters and 19 International Masters. Last year's winner Oleksandr Kasapchuk will be competing again in the B Open and is aiming for his second Open victory.
