As announced at the start of the sixth round in the tournament hall, the rating prize groups in the B Open will be adjusted and expanded to the advantage of the participants.
Since there are a large number of players with ratings between 1600 and 1850 participating in the B Open this year, the organisers have expanded the rating prizes in this group. The new prizes are as follows, in euros:
ELO/DWZ 1751 - 1850: 120, 70, 40
ELO/DWZ 1601 - 1750: 120, 70, 40
ELO/DWZ 1401 - 1600: 120, 70, 40
ELO/DWZ 1 - 1400: 100
There are only four participants in the under-1400 ELO/DWZ group, which means that no rating prize will be awarded according to the competition rules.
Nevertheless, a special prize has now been announced for the best player up to 1400 ELO/DWZ.
