Artem Dyachuk was under pressure on the first board of the Sparkassen Open B today, but eventually held his game against his compatriot Bohdan Lobkin to a draw in the queen's endgame.

The two games in the NC World Masters of the 49th International Dortmund Chess Days on Saturday were Daniel Fridman against Viswanathan Anand and Michael Adams against Dmitrij Kollars.

In the NC World Masters and German Grand Prix important matches were scheduled on Friday. But both tournaments are still open before the two final rounds.
